LDF welcomes Tony Arce as New President

The Laredo Development Foundation Board of Directors has selected Tony Arce, Jr. as President for 2017-2018.
As Manager of External Affairs for AEP Texas in Laredo, Tony facilitates electric service projects, communications and economic development objectives with city and county governments including Laredo, Zapata, Freer, Hebbronville, Falfurrias and Encinal.
Tony works directly with cities, counties, media, educational institutions, economic development organizations and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are educated on the electric utility industry, and advance development of communities and industry in a mutually beneficial capacity.
Tony has more than 32 years of experience with AEP Texas and has worked in marketing, energy management research projects, corporate communications and community affairs.  Tony was appointed to the position of Manager of External Affairs in Laredo in 2014 after serving in the same position in Uvalde for 7 years.
Tony is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanized Agriculture.  He serves on the United Way Board in Laredo and has also served on the board for the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, Laredo CCA, Gateway Chapter of PRSA and Laredo Builders Association.  In Uvalde, he served as the President of the Uvalde Area Development Foundation, President of the Uvalde Area Chamber of Commerce, Board member and secretary of Uvalde Memorial Hospital and Uvalde Athletic Booster Club. In 2013, he was honored as the Uvaldean of the Year.
Tony and his wife Annette are parents to Anissa and Tony III (Tres).
